Making The Imperfect Perfect

We live in a high-resolution world. Photographs and videos must be taken with ultimate detail and clarity. The sharper, the better. However, sometimes high-resolution sharpness doesn't enhance the art of photography. Take, for example, this frog. When the frog was photographed, there was a slight blur in the focus. However, I liked the way the frog was “standing” in the water. Therefore, with the use of Lightroom and Topaz Photo AI, I created an image that I thought had artistic flair and was worthy of publication. I believe photography is not all about resolution and clarity; it's about creativity and imagination, where resolution and clarity may serve as tools.

In our modern world of technology, we chase perfection. I believe that sometimes imperfection can be more creative than perfection, especially when photographing wildlife. Sometimes you work with lighting, exposure, focus, and composition, turning what might be considered a bad photograph into a creative one. In some cases, you can even bring a character to life, like I tried to do with this frog.

Experiment with your photography to make it personal and unique. Welcome both criticism and praise. Find joy in photography.
